AIR-STRIKE

Air-Strike is the game I have been working. It is for DOS only, using the excellent Allegro library by Shawn Hargreaves and contibutors. Since Allegro is now available for DirectX and Linux, it ought to be quite easy to port to these platforms, so I might do this some time.

Air-Strike is based on a game from several years ago called Night Raid. The idea was that you had a turret in the middle at the bottom of the screen, with a gun attached, and you could change the angle of the gun with the mouse. As planes flew past overhead, letting out troops with parachutes as they went, you had to shoot at everything, in order to stop the troops landing.

I thought it was a great game, but it quickly became boring (at least in the shareware version I had) as it only had one weapon and a couple of types of aeroplane.

So, teaming up with Scott Griffiths who drew most of the graphics, I set about writing own version, which would have all the stuff I wanted in it.
